Holiday-makers shamed over morning hotel act

Holidays are supposed to be relaxing. Yeah, nah, a few mid-strengths, a bit of sightseeing, some lounging by the pool, a good holiday has it all. Best of all, as an escape from the daily grind, it’s a rare opportunity to do things on a completely casual schedule. Well, for most people it is. For some people, that s**t’s been lost over the scramble to secure a spot by the pool. Check out this video to see what we mean…

All right, we’re gonna start off here by saying that we’re an equal opportunity website. We love to give everyone the benefit of the doubt. Sometimes, though, it’s a bit bloody tricky. Especially when you’ve got people acting in a way that’s totally guided by self-interest.

A video’s appeared on TikTok and it’s not a good look for the subjects. Clearly, they’re all keen to spend the day by the pool – and when it’s hot that’s legit – but they’re f**ken going mental over trying to secure enough sunbeds for everyone.

Don’t get us wrong, you’ve gotta look after yourself, but in this particular scenario, you’ve got a s**t-tonne of people storming the poolside lounges like Americans charging into Walmart on Black Friday. Deadset, this lot are there as soon as the gate opens and they’re securing as many sunbeds as they can.

For us, that’s not cricket. Nah, we understand getting there early to grab yourself a seat, but when you’re stopping others from getting them, you’ve gotta have a look at yourself. And when you think about it, this behaviour goes further than selfishness.

It’s a holiday. You need to chill the f**k out. If you can’t get a sunbed, f**ken jump in the pool or hit up the bar. You’ve got options, and waking up to secure a lounge amidst this rush feels like work. Isn’t that what you’re trying to avoid?
