Finnish bloke somehow managed to photograph these bear cubs dancing in the wild

Bloody bears. These big furry buggers are probably one of the greatest kinds of critters there are. After all, how many other animals can so successfully juggle being cute as f**k while also totally capable of pulling your spine out of your back? If you answered ‘not many’, you’re spot on. Of course, we’re not here to focus on the frightening possibilities today. Yeah, nah, this one’s all about the cuteness of three little bear cubs!

It comes to us courtesy of Finnish bloke, Valtteri Mulkahainen from Sotkamo, Finland. Usually, this big bloody legend is a PE Teacher, but on the day these bears came frolicking, he was a photographer extraordinaire.

He’d gone for a bit of a squiz at some of the local taiga – a type of forest – when he noticed a big mama bear and her three cubs enter the clearing. Unlike most of us would, Valtteri didn’t s**t his pants and cry for his mum. Yeah, nah, he moved to a shelter, got his camera out, and started taking happy snaps.

“The cubs behaved like little children,” he reckons. “They were playing, and even started a few friendly fights. I felt like I was on a playground in front of my house, where small children frolic around. That’s how much they reminded me of little children. At one point, the three of them got up on their hind legs and started pushing each other. It was like they were dancing in a circle.”

As you can see from his photos, the little buggers were having a whale of a time, completely unperturbed by his presence. “I photographed the cubs with the bear all evening and all night,” he said.

Anyway, have a bloody squiz at the photos and tell us these aren’t awesome.

Final thought: As much as people complain about technology and its pervasive nature these days, you have to say that we’d never have these photos if bloody cameras weren’t ubiquitous. Or, if Valtteri didn’t have balls of steel. So, next time you see some frightening animals, don’t run. Just take photos. That way, even if you do die, we’ve got great internet content. It’s a win-win. Thanks, ya legends. Thanks Valtteri.
