Ukrainian Boxer Moves Like Neo From The Matrix
Vasyl Lomachenko is a Ukrainian professional boxer and Olympic gold medalist. He is the current WBO Junior Lightweight champion, having previously held the WBO featherweight title.
Lomachenko is known for his lightning fast hand speed, as well as excellent timing, accuracy, and lateral movement. When in full flow, the dude looks like he can see about 2 seconds into the future. This dude is not one to be messed with!
As an amateur, Lomachenko won a silver medal at the 2007 World Championships, a gold at both the 2009 and 2011 World Championships and a gold medal at both the 2008 and 2012 Olympics. He finished an incredible amateur career with a record of 396 wins and only one loss, to Albert Selimov, who he beat in two subsequent fights.
Lomachenko turned pro at the end of 2013 and as never looked back.
The dude being made a fool of in this video is a Mexican boxer named Romulo Koasicha and he’s usually no mug with the gloves. When these two fought in November 2015, Koasicha had an impressive record of 25-4 with 15 KO’s. Watching this video, you wouldn’t think so but to underestimate Koasicha is to underestimate Lomachenko and nobody should be doing that.
As a professional, he currently has a record or 6-1, with his one failure being a split decision loss against to the former two-time WBO featherweight champion Orlando Salido in his first ever pro fight.
Lomachenko began his professional career as a featherweight but has since moved up a class to super featherweight where he is looking to make a name for himself. Fight fans have been calling for a matchup between Lomachenko and Yuriorkis Gamboa, the highly rated Cuban fighter with a record of 26-1. Gamboa, himself says that he wants the fight but the boxing promotions company Top Rank are “keeping Vasyl Lomachenko away from me.”
Lomachenko (8-1, 6 KOs) dominated his Jason Sosa over the weekend until own corner stopped the fight after the ninth round. He now is considered by most pundits to be the best pound for pound boxer in the world.
