Luis Vuitton to release ridiculously high-priced PPE for rich people
If we had to pick one item to encapsulate 2020, it’d probably be the bloody facemask. Obviously, the first reason for that is pretty bloody straightforward. The second reason requires a little bit of mental gymnastics, but with riot police making the US look like a scene from V for Vendetta, they’ve got their own masks on show too. Now, if you’re wondering why we’re telling you this, you might wanna have a squiz at Luis Vuitton’s new range of PPE…
We’re gonna start this one off with the obvious question: what the f**k? Yeah, deadset, we know that the world of high fashion is a pretty strange one that we can’t even hope to understand, but this thing is, apparently, legit.

If you’re thinking that it’s not really that big a deal and that you wouldn’t mind having a branded facemask for keeping yourself free from harmful coronaviruses and rubber bullets, you need to check out the price on this bad boy.
According to our sources, this thing’s going for a cool $961 US dollarydoos.
Obviously, we’re not the targeted demographic for this kinda s**t, but even if we did have money to throw away on high fashion like this, we’re not sure we’d wanna spend it on a sneeze-guard. Surely, surely, you don’t stay rich if you spend money this frivolously.
Who are we kidding, though, there are undoubtedly people out there who will buy this s**t. And besides, if Covid does become something that sticks around for years, this might save you money in the long-run.
Anyway, for what it’s worth, the company has released a statement, claiming the product is “an eye-catching headpiece, both stylish and protective.”
Final thought: So, er, yeah, we’re still not sure this is better than the mask old mate with the miked-up fishbowl was selling. If we had the money, we’d probably choose that one. What about you? Let us know in the comments section.
