Life can be a bloody bitch sometimes. Deadset, we’ve all had days where we just wanna cry our eyes out, assume the foetal position and scream, or just have a grand old whinge, and you know what, there’s f**k-all wrong with that. Not everything can be great all the time, and that’s why it’s important to have mates who’ve got your back. Of course, for some of us who have trouble showing a bit of empathy to others, we can do worse than check out this footage of a young bloke with Down Syndrome comforting the f**k out of his mate.

Rightio, first of all, the identity of these two kids is unknown and that’s probably good thing, but what we do know is that it was uploaded by a teacher from a school in Mexico. And honestly, if there was ever a place that some kids needed a bloody hug, school is it.

Anyway, have a watch of it. You’ll see the young bloke approach his upset buddy before giving him a bit of a face-rub and then just hugging it out. Fair dinkum, he puts his everything into that hug and you can see it’s exactly what his bro needs.

From the head-nuzzle to the back-pat and the tears he wipes away, it’s f**ken top-notch. From there, he kicks things into overdrive with a bit of an arm stretch. He’s like, “Gimme those arms, bro, we’ve gotta work some tension out. F**k yeah, raise ‘em above your head, fold ‘em, cross ‘em over, work it out.”

And, mate, we’d be bulls**tting you if we didn’t say it looks like some bloody good and effective s**t. Naturally, people online have flocked to the video and praised the young bloke involved. Honestly, we reckon that praise is well deserved.

Final thought: As so many have already pointed out, this kind of response to a mate going through a hard time is a pretty clear sign of ‘pure heart’ and empathy. And that’s why he gets a Top Bloke award. Also, although we’re speaking to everything here, we reckon this kind of s**t is exactly what men need to embrace. Just f**ken hug it out, dudes.
