Landlord asks quarantined tenants to make video ad of flat he’s kicking them out of

The rental game’s a pretty f**ken tough one. Not only do you have to put up with every f**kwit home-owning mate telling you to stop renting and buy because ‘rent money is dead money’, but you also have to try and keep your landlord happy. While we’re not sure whether or not a Twitter user by the name of @sandybatchelor kept his landlord grinning, he was asked to fulfil a pretty strange request…

Yeah, nah, apparently, despite the fact the landlord was kicking them out of the joint, he also wanted Sandy and his roomies to film a video advertising the flat for him. Obviously, that’s not a great idea at the best of times.

Still, Mr Batchelor took it well. As he said on Twitter: “Our letting agent asked us to make a video of the flat we are basically being forced out of. I wish them the very best of luck.”

In all honesty, he’s a bloody good sport. He’s fulfilled the request, and gone and filmed the video, posting it online as well.

We reckon it’s a f**ken tops vid. Give it a squiz for yourself and see if you agree. As for the house, it does look a bit cramped on first viewing, but Sandy sells it well. In particular, we like it when he talks about the handy proximity of the bins. “There’s the bins, just outside the living room window,” he says. “That’s lovely in the Summer when it’s hot!”

Unfortunately, though, the next tenants are gonna have to make the yard their own. As Sandy tells us, “These plants are all ours. We’ll be digging them out before we go. Place’ll end up looking like the Somme!” And, to be honest, that’s a killer line.

Anyway, this is one video that really doesn’t leave much to the imagination. Give it a geez.

Final thought: Yeah, it’s not always easy keeping a landlord happy, but it’s really f**ken hard when the place you’re living in has some obvious flaws. Still, you’ve gotta question the judgement of a landlord who moves his tenants on and then asks them to film a video advertising the place. Don’t ya reckon?
