Twitter users have shared the ‘best’ advice boomers have given them

You may not have noticed, but things are coming to a head between boomers and, well, everyone younger than them. And you know what, we get it. When you compare the world now to the one that boomers grew up in, it’s a vastly different place. Technology has changed everything, social and cultural attitudes are shifting, and the workplace is not somewhere you plan to stay forever. Yeah, nah, plenty of the old rules just don’t apply.

Unfortunately, those changes have kinda left a lot of boomers out of touch with the reality of the world for their children and grandchildren.

It’s a natural progression, and whether you see the world now as a good place or a bad place, you have to admit that boomers have helped shape it into what it is.

So, without further ado, let’s have a look at some of the things they’re telling people:

A lot of this seems to be workplace advice, and that’s probably understandable. If you’re bloody sixty-odd and you’ve spent your whole life working in one place, you might not understand just how cutthroat the world can be.

Of course, by the same token, if your naïve enough to think that things haven’t changed and you can just keep doing things the same way you’ve always done them or that what worked for your olds will work for you, you do need to wake up a bit. Don’t ya reckon?

Final thought: Look, we can spend our time hating on each other, or we can just learn to understand that our differences are a good thing. After all, didn’t boomers want things to change from the way their parents did things. It’s called evolution and it’s a bloody top notch thing to have. Anyway, let us know what advice boomers have given you.
