Local servo keeps making the whole town laugh daily with these bloody gold signs

Bloody laughter has gotta be one of the greatest things on earth. Deadset, no matter where you are, which era of human history you’re from, or what language you speak, we all love a bloody good laugh. Fortunately, the ExtraMile convenience store and petrol station in Seattle gets it. In a city known for rain and grunge music, these legends keep the laughs coming with a series of awesome jokes on their internet-famous Wallingford sign.

Now, we’ve gotta be honest and say that these guys aren’t the only ones around the world to do something like this, and you may well have a local joint in your neck of the woods that does the same kind of thing, but ExtraMile have been at it since 2005, and they’re not showing any signs of stopping.

Apparently, the sign hasn’t always been as popular as it is now. Yeah, nah, back in the day, they only used to get 30 to 50,000 views per sign, but those clicks skyrocketed after their ‘Make America grate again’ sign.

A spokesperson for the company told Bored Panda that, “about four years ago we posted the sign ‘make America grate again, ban pre-shredded cheese.’ That one went up to about one and a half million views on Facebook and introduced us to a worldwide fan base.”

As you can see from these photos, the comments range from slightly inane to cheekily self-reverent. From time to time, an old classic line will appear, but there seems to be a lot of original commentary there too.

Final thought: Yeah, nah, we bloody love laughter, and anything like this should be celebrated. We live in a world that can be pretty tough, so if you can do something that makes people smile, we reckon you should bloody well do it.
