Aussie bloke launches himself off bridge to deliver beers to his mates

Everyone knows that there’s nothing quite like a day out with the boys. It exists somewhere there in its own world of f**ken awesome – as long as you’ve got the beers to back it up. Whether you’re chilling on the porch, getting pissed at the footy, or cruising on the boat, you’ve gotta have a few cold ones to perfect the scene. But if you didn’t have them, how far would you go to get them there? Would you jump off a bridge? This bloke would…

Yeah, f**king deadset, this lad was keen as f**k to get the boys some booze. The event in question happened in Perth. The bloke in question leapt from the Stirling Highway Bridge to deliver the beers to his mates below.

Let’s take a moment to pay our respects to the serenity on the day though. Have a f**ken squiz at the surrounds. It is a glorious bloody day there. As if you wouldn’t want to be out on the water. You’d probably chuck a bloody line in and drown a few worms, you’d crank some tunes, and you might even go for a bit of a dip.

And this legend turns up with a box of brewskis to make an already sensational day just a little bit better. He even lets go of the beers halfway down so he doesn’t smoosh ‘em and send cans everywhere. Good work, fella.

Unfortunately, not everyone is happy with his endeavours. The cops – who, to be fair, have a job to do – are pretty f**ken grouchy about it. Here, I’ll abridge what they said: “Yeah, nah, it might be a tops f**ken move, but we encourage members of the public who capture footage like this to bring it down the cop-shop. Bloody drongo.”

On top of that, the WA Premier went so far as to call the bloke an idiot. Pretty tough words to be honest. He reckons the bloke endangered his own life and set a poor example for others.

In fairness, Mr McGowan, it would have been more dangerous if he just chucked the beers at the boat.

Final thought: Look, let’s pretend no one said anything bad about this, and look at it for what it is. A calculated risk in getting some beers to the boys. The beers were probably at more risk of harm than the lad in question, and no one actually got hurt. Sounds like a win in my book.
