Getting old is a funny business. On one hand, there’s loads of bulls**t about how it’s supposed to be bloody hard on your body, but then there’s all the other stuff that makes you smarter, wiser, and more knowledgeable about the world. Hopefully. Still, when you focus only on appearances, it’s interesting to see how people compare to their past selves. Ard Gelinck, a Dutch graphic designer, explores this theme by Photoshopping celebs into photos with their younger selves. Have a look…

Ard’s fortunate enough to have been a huge part of Photoshop’s Then and Now series, and that inspired him to take the whole thing to another level. As a result, he’s created images of loads of celebs, and he’s not thinking about stopping anytime soon.

“There are millions of photos from those celebs,” he reckons. And that, in his own words, makes the combinations endless. He even reckons that something as simple as the news can give him new ideas. “Sometimes, I react to a news item, a birthday, or day of death and then post an edit of that celeb as an honor or celebration!”

As you can imagine, people love his pics, but if we know one thing about celebs, it’s that they’re not scared of letting people know about themselves. As a result, Ard’s been fortunate enough to have loads of celebs share his work.
