Baby roo won’t leave backyard, so bloke puts on onesie to see what happens
If you know anything about kangaroos, you probably know that they keep their joeys in pouches. Yeah, nah, when we think about major kangaroo facts, that’s one of the big ones. The f**kers hop, they have pouches, and they can f**k you up. If you keep that s**t in mind, you’ll probably be good with any kangaroo-related questions at your local tav’s trivia night. That aside, though, it’s apparently quite easy to get a joey to jump into your pouch – just ask this cosy little bugger.
Rightio, ya big bloody bewdiful d**kheads, we’d be lying if we said this was a brand-new vid, but it’s only been out a few months, and we missed it the first time around. Fortunately, it’s jumped back into the public sphere, and we’re f**ken stoked about it.
What you’ve got is a stranded joey (a baby kangaroo) in a front yard in the NSW town of Temora. Now, we’re not sure exactly what happened to the joey after the video, but the blokes in it seem like good lads, so we’ll assume they got it to somewhere a bit safer.
One of the blokes comes out of the house wearing a kangaroo onesie. After slowly approaching the little marsupial, he crouches down and shows it his pouch. The joey wastes no time at all before diving head-first inside it.
Clearly, there’s plenty of laughter, and a fair bit of shock from the looks of it, but bloody joeys spend a fair bit of time in their mother’s pouch. Any time they’re feeling a bit stressed or anxious, they duck for cover. That’s clearly what this one’s done.
Give the vid a squiz to check it out.
Final thought: Yeah, nah, we like this. A stranded joey is in a bit of strife without the rest of its mob to look after it, so hopefully this one found its way back to its kangaroo mates and is still living a happy life!
