20kg of red hot steel is placed on a frozen lake in Finnish experiment

Whether you wanna go right back to the days of Robert Frost or stick closer to contemporary times with Game of Thrones, the everlasting conflict between fire and ice has always been one to watch. On one hand, you’ve got the testicle-shrinking prowess of cold. On the other, the pube-melting capacity of hot. Needless to say, there can be only one winner. Thankfully, we have the legends from the Hydraulic Press Channel to help us figure it out through a proxy war on a frozen Finnish lake.

Deadset, if you’re not across the Hydraulic Press Channel, you need to unf**k that s**t straight away. Lauri and Anni are bloody legends when it comes to the wanton destruction of random stuff, but they also venture out of their workshop to experiment with other interesting ideas.

In this particular video, they take 20 kilos of red hot steel and place it on the surface of a frozen lake. Apparently, the ice is about a foot thick – and just from the looks of it – the weather forecast for the day there may well have been, ‘f**ken freezing!’

On the face of it, you may be thinking this sounds a little dull. It’s not, though. This pair of bloody legends could probably make watching paint dry an exciting prospect – and, in fairness, we’d be lying if we didn’t give props to their awesome accents – and clear love of metal.

So without further ado, lets’ cross to Lauri. “My personal (opinion) is that it’s not going to go through. What is Anni’s opinion?”

Anni, for what it’s worth, is either not prepared to predict such a colossal battle of the elements or is just too f**ken cold for Lauri to be dragging her out this time. “Er, I don’t know,” she says.

From there, Lauri takes the red hot steel and gets the battle underway. We won’t tell you how it ends, but weigh up the odds, make a prediction and enjoy the f**ken show!

And here we gooo!

Final thought: As we said before, if you’re not all over the Hydraulic Press Channel or its partner channel, Beyond the Press, get onto that s**t. Where else are you going to watch a hydraulic press destroy random s**t in such incredibly satisfying fashion?
