Listening to other people’s conversations is probably one of the only things that really qualifies as a guilty pleasure. Unlike watching s**tty television, listening to other people’s problems, thoughts and private discussions is actually something we’re taught not to do. Still, that doesn’t make it any less awesome. For genuine proof of that, check out these overheard conversations from Overheard LA.

All of these funny little snippets of other people’s conversations come from the Instagram page Overheard LA. It’s a bloody goldmine of funny s**t people have overheard on the streets of Los Angeles. The owners have a few similarly branded sites on the web, so once again, there’s your evidence that we’re all busy bodies.

Jesse Margolis is the brainiac behind the big idea. He started the site up in 2015 after hearing a conversation he thought could only have happened in Los Angeles. And that, really, is the joy of this. It does lead us to wonder what an Ozzy version of the site would sound like, but we might hit you blokes and blokettes up for some stuff there later.

Jesse told Bored Panda, “We really try to select things that are both funny and feel like they are breaking new ground. We get a lot of great submissions, and really try to post new, original content every day that doesn’t feel stale.”
