Bloke shares the coolest s**t he has found on Google Earth

Google Earth is pretty much the cheapest way to see the world. Deadset, from the comfort of your own living room, you can check out all sorts of cool s**t. Whether you want to see some of the finest man-made monuments on the globe, or whether you want to check out awesome natural s**t, Google Earth has you covered. That’s why you should think of Will, a Geologist from New Orleans, as your Google Earth tour-guide. Have a bloody squiz at ten of his favourite images.

Online, Will rocks the moniker geologistsmakethebedrock, and he’s often collating images he finds on Google Earth with folks from around the Interweb. Best of all, he even provides information about the images. As he tells it, “I really like to peruse Google Earth looking for cool things. My captions either come from basic internet research of my guess about what’s happening. Keep in mind that they are just my interpretations of things and could be wrong.”

Fair enough then. Sounds reasonable to us. After all, why let the truth get in the way of a good yarn! He told Bored Panda that, “I tried to find interesting examples of geologic processes to use in lecture presentations. That’s when I started gathering screen shots of cool stuff for myself. Then I decided to share some images on Imgur because my wife was tired of me making her look at them and listen to my explanations.”

Seriously, though, we find it shocking that his wife wouldn’t want to listen to Will tell her all about his awesome finds on Google Earth. To us, that seems like the sort of ground a great relationship could be built on. Of course, Will’s probably been missing a trick. You’ve got to wonder how much more the missus would appreciate it if he loaded up a photo of his junk and then asked her to check out the goods.

Anyway, have a f**ken squiz. The screenshots he takes range from images of man-made infrastructure and curiosities to naturally occurring land-masses and formations.

Final thought: Keep in mind that these are just a few of Will’s favourites. We reckon you blokes and blokettes should get onto Google Earth and load up the Facebook comments with as much f**ken funny s**t as you can find.
