Harry Potter raps the entire “Alphabet Aerobics” on Jimmy Fallon
So, the other day, the team here at Ozzy Man Reviews shared a video of Sophie Turner, the actress who plays Sansa from Game of Thrones, spitting Eminem lyrics like fire. While we thought it was a pretty grouse video, it seems that some of you blokes and blokettes said, “Yeah, nah, f**k that. Check out the Daniel Radcliffe one from the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.” So we did. And in fairness to all you wankers, it’s definitely worth checking out…
Right, the video opens up with Radcliffe – looking fresh from the Bolivian jungle – and Fallon talking about the pommy b*stard’s love of technical and complex rap lyrics. Of course, Fallon’s luring Radcliffe into a ‘totally improvised’ bit. “Blackalicious’s Alphabet Aerobics,” he says. “You’d know how to do that whole song?”
“Yeah, I do. Yes,” replies the little wizard. He plays coy, but you can tell he’s just waiting for his opportunity to showcase his magic.
“That’s one of the trickiest, fastest songs I know,” says Fallon. And fair dinkum. It gets pretty quick.
Evidently, Radcliffe is up to the challenge. Which is pretty bloody lucky. There’s no telling what they would have done with the alphabet display boards they’d prepared earlier if he hadn’t have been ready to get lyrical.
You have to give it to the little f**ker. He owns that sh*t. He makes Sansa’s effort look positively amateur. He f**ken rips it up.
Whereas Sansa’s is like an ‘impromptu’ part of the conversation, Harry Potter’s got the full band and Fallon dancing like your creepy uncle Fester with this weird kind of parakeet head-bob and dodgy-as-f**k smile. On top of that, Potter’s not just showing that he knows the lyrics. His sh*t picks up pace and maintains clarity throughout. Kind of like a good fart.
Final thought: Are we getting a bit over-excited about professional performers performing things? Maybe, but who gives a sh*t? The fact you wankers in the comments section pointed us in the direction of this one is something we’re grateful for. Now all we need is one of these f**kers to rip out a rendition of Archspire’s Fathom Infinite Depth and we can all die happy!
