Bride embarrassed when ‘incriminating’ voice-note from first date is played at wedding

Because we now live in a day and age where everything is recorded and digitised, it’s really f**ken easy for people to bring up the past and haunt you with it. Deadset, just ask the bride at this wedding. When her best friend gave his speech, he had a voice-note she’d left him about her new husband right after their first date. Check it out…

Okay, so obviously, this one’s not like some of the ‘incriminating’ wedding ones we’ve seen. Yeah, nah, this one doesn’t end in heartbreak and regret; it’s a happy ending, and it’s one that sounds like it was written in the stars right from the start.

The bride in question, Sabrina Flores, met her now husband, Brendon de Spain, on Bumble and right after their first date, her best mate, John Martin was the recipient of a gushing voice-note about Brendon.

When the two tied the knot, Martin revisited it. In his role as Sabrina’s ‘maid’ of honour, he busted out the voice-note and let it play as part of his speech. Fortunately, for Sabrina, Brendon was amused as hell.

Speaking about the event, Sabrina said, “Of course, in true best friend fashion, he embarrassed the living daylight out of me, in front of my friends and family, [where I was] dropping the f-bombs all over the place and calling my husband incredibly sexy in front of his grandparents. I was hoping it wasn’t too incriminating because I went into a lot of detail [back then]. I was sweating.”

After thanking John for such a kickass speech, she said, she wasn’t able to look at Brendon as her candid voice note played out, saying her new husband was ‘especially amused’ because she had initially been ‘playing it so cool’.

F**k yes. Gotta love a happy ending!
