Bloke in his undies jumps into freezing cold lake to save deer

Loads of old folk tales feature blokes helping out deer who’ve got themselves trapped on s**t creek in a barbed wire canoe. Usually, those blokes find themselves being rewarded in some awesome way. If there is any truth in those stories, a painter and decorator from the Land of Pom needs to buy himself a lotto ticket, because he’s just saved a young foal from carking it in a freezing cold canal. Check this s**t out!

Marc Headon, the painter and decorator in question, had just had a job rained off – something we’re guessing happens all the f**ken time in Pommyland – and was driving home with a workmate when they noticed some strange s**t going on in one of the local canals.

Originally, Marc thought it was a fish, but quickly came to realise it was a deer – and it was on its way to Destination F**ked. Naturally, the big fella’s a f**ken hero and in zero seconds flat, he’d stripped down and jumped in.

“I noticed it was struggling and close to drowning, so without thinking I jumped in and pulled it to safety,” he told LADbible. “Jamie helped me get the deer out and helped me out. I carried it to the top of the bank, where we wrapped it in blankets and tried to calm it and keep it warm, as it was near a busy road.”

Jamie filmed the whole thing and posted the video to Facebook. “Just driving past the canal in Saxilby, and saw some ears in the water. We got out and saw it was a baby dear struggling to keep its head up. It was seconds away from drowning, must have been in there for hours. Marc jumped straight in and saved it,” he wrote.

From there, the two legends kept it warm and took it to a mate’s place where they could wait for the Wildlife Trust to come and help it recover from its ordeal.

Final thought: There’s not really much to say except f**ken cheers, you pair of legends. These brewskis are for you. Tops bloody work!
