Nicole Ritchie accidentally sets her hair on fire while trying to blow out birthday candles
When you think about it, birthday candles are an interesting way of decorating a cake. Not only do you have to pick off wax that gets in the wrong spot, but you also have to run the risk of the birthday bloke (or sheila) spraying their saliva all over the cake. On top of that, there are added risks. You know, like setting your f**ken hair on fire! And if you reckon we’re overselling it, just ask Nicole bloody Ritchie. Yeah, nah, she’s been there done that…
Deadset, in a new video she’s shared to her Instagram, Ritchie’s gone full Ghostrider. Yeah, nah, she’s just f**ken rocking the flames like they’re meant to be there.
Okay, look, in fairness, it’s not like she’s really rocking them. Yeah, nah, it’s more like she’s trying to get rid of them, but what we can do is celebrate the fact that she’s put this video out there for us all to enjoy. After all, who doesn’t like seeing s**t go wrong on the internet.
So let’s get to it. As you watch it, you can see that her blowing technique is all wrong. She’s got her hands behind her back, which might be a pretty tricky move for the newbies out there, but when her hair hangs low, there are not many other places for the flames to go.
Yeah, it’s a schoolboy error that could have been avoided with just a little forethought. Sadly, though, there was none. At first, you’ll notice that it’s just the tip, and someone comes in from the side to pat out one flame, but the problem is that there are two of the fuckers.
Next minute, f**ken whoosh. Ghostrider.
Final thought: Yeah, look, if you’re gonna go out there blowing out birthday candles, don’t f**ken think that any kid can do it without too much trouble. You need to realise it’s a serious business. There’s a technique you need to master. If not, you’re gonna find yourself getting flamed – in real life and online!
