‘Lady’ Voldemort will change the way you see Harry Potter’s arch nemesis
Yeah, nah, fair dinkum, Harry Potter’s pretty much one of the cultural touchstones of our generation and f**kers everywhere are really down with the whole school of wizardry sh*t. In fact, it’s probably about accurate to say that Harry Potter and his various friends and enemies have infiltrated most aspects of pop culture and bled into all sorts of other performances, and if you don’t believe us, just check out this video. It’s a bloody drag queen dancing as Lady Voldemort. Once you’ve watched it, we don’t think you’ll be able to look at the evil b*stard in the same way again…
Rightio, ya champions, whack on your MAGA hat, and get ready to boof the sh*t out of some beers because we’re heading to the States. Specifically, we’re going to San Francisco in California to check out a performance from Florida Man, a drag queen who loves to reference pop culture in his performances.
As part of a burlesque night, the flamboyant fella knew exactly what he had to do. He told Vogue, “A few months ago I produced a Harry Potter tribute show called She Who Must Not Be Named and did my first number as Lady Voldemort. It was so fun and so absurd that I knew I wanted to bring the character back in wilder situations.
Part of what I’m doing with Lady Voldemort is reimagining a universe where the canon of Harry Potter is queerer and weirder, and I think that speaks to a lot of queer people and Harry Potter fans alike. It’s also just ridiculous.”
Yeah, nah, it’s pretty f**ken ridiculous. Especially the bit where Harry Potter comes in and they do battle with their dueling wands.
for those of you asking- it’s the third movie. that clip of lady voldemort performing was from the third movie. directors cut.

Final thought: Deadset, this has gotta be among the weirder entries into the realm of Harry Potter tributes. For that reason alone, it’s worth a watch. I mean, if watching Voldemort strip off his robes to reveal a drag outfit doesn’t do it for ya that is!
