People are posting their “illegal” lego building tactics

Apparently, there’s a right way and a wrong way to do Lego. Yeah, fair dinkum, it seems like that instead of letting their kids doing whatever they can to put the bits together and build a dodgy f**ken house that gets thrown in the toy box later, some adults have gone and discovered a way to make Lego that little bit more rebellious. Deadset, all of the designs you’re about to see are hot off the black market. Anyone actually caught using them will be forced to walk a plank made entirely of random Lego pieces in their bare feet. You’ve been warned.

Yeah, rightio, we’re not gonna lie to you here, many of the blokes here at Ozzy Man Reviews are dads and know exactly how exciting it is to be able to buy Lego ‘for the kids’ without looking like a f**ken weirdo. Having said that, trying to make anything that veers away from ‘standard’ without the instructions is a f**ken nightmare.

In fairness to those folks who actually do crack a fat over Lego, and can apply a bit of creativity to their craft, without the right customised pieces, building something that doesn’t look like it was made by a Minecraft character can be a challenge.

Fortunately, some creative c**ts over at The Brothers Brick have developed a whole range of workarounds, and in some circles, these techniques are seen as illegal. Whether that applies only to people getting themselves involved in Lego competitions or not, we’re not sure. We guess some particularly finicky b*stards like to play by the rules, so, you know.

Anyway, to each their own, and if you or ‘your kids’ are struggling to make the final bit of magic work with a specific Lego build, perhaps one of these ‘illegal’ workarounds will get you across the line.

Final thought: Lego is actually pretty f**ken cool stuff. Just don’t get caught using these tricks by someone who’s too straight down the line. The Lego police will knock your block off.
