‘Gangster’ arrested with ancient gun from 1858 gets roasted by the internet

If there’s one thing the internet provides users, it’s the security of knowing you’re just a faceless and locationless username who’s free to ridicule and mock pretty much anyone. Deadset, you might not even think they deserve it, and you might do it just because it’s funny, but aside from a few swearwords, the blow-back is usually minimal. And, although we usually reckon everyone should get a fair go, sometimes people do deserve it. Take this ‘gangster’ who was sporting a Remington model 1858 black powder revolver as his weapon of choice for example.

Yeah, we’re not sure whether this gun actually worked, but we’re going to assume it has just as much chance of killing anybody as any other firearm – and that’s a damn good reason to ban the things altogether – but the internet didn’t give a s**t.

Amador Carlos Martinez was pulled over during a routine traffic stop by two police officers. Officers Dillon Biggs and Sukhbir Chauhan were patrolling an area rife with gang violence and shootings. Something was amiss with Martinez’s car, and when he was quizzed by the police, the Ruthless Thug Life Fresno Bulldog Criminal Street Gang Member admitted that he had a magnum under his seat. Apparently, it was loaded, so you have to assume it could have been used to kill someone.

Still, knowing full-well they were safe on their lounges, toilets and desk-chairs, and the chance of the gangster using the gun on them was minimal, internet users proceeded to roast the f**k out of the dude.

Some of this s**t is pure gold, and you can’t help but laugh. And, to be completely honest, this is one of those cases where the person in question deserves to be ridiculed. We don’t know if he was trying to be debonair or whether he had to raid his grandpa’s stash, but it seems like anyone carrying a gun should be mocked to us. Just not in person.

Final thought: Giving the bloke the benefit of the doubt, he’s clearly going for the old fashioned style. Other than that, probably best to get it – and all the other guns – off the streets and out of the houses. We reckon problems should be approached the old-fashioned way. Fisticuffs at noon.
