Bloke recreates Lord of the Rings scene with 150,000 Lego masterpiece
Farken hell! Sometimes you look at a lego build and think, hang on ya hairy-toed wanker, you’ve gotta be Tolkien the piss with this one. This, this, is one of those builds. And let’s start by saying f**ken well done on the Lord of the Rings love. Amongst the love Game of Thrones gets these days, it seems people have forgotten where it all began. Middle Earth and the greatest fantasy novels ever written.
So, what we’ve got here is a f**ken epic Lego take on the battle of Helm’s Deep as seen in The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers. Coming in at the size of a Ping-Pong table, rocking over 150,000 pieces and incorporating more than 17,000 mini-figures, Flickr user goelkim2011 has bloody well created something almost as sensational as Tolkien and Jackson combined. All right, maybe a touch superlative, but it’s pretty f**ken grouse all the same.
The level of detail in this bad boy is f**ken incredible. Old mate goelkim2011 has got some serious dedication because I don’t reckon you could build this thing in the time it takes you to watch all three movies, let alone read all three books. Nevertheless, the cheeky wanker, has created a stunning homage to a f**ken epic scene in a movie they obviously love.
Once you’ve had a gander at the photos here, click through to the link at the bottom of the page and give them some love. Tell ‘em what a truly f**ken spectacular job they’ve done.
Final thought: I dunno about you blokes and blokettes, but I can’t wait to see what else goelkim has in store for us. How about that bloody battle with the oliphants? The fight in the forest? The fracas with the Nazgul and Strider? The possibilities are endless. Top work, goelkim2011. Top f**ken work!
