Vegetarian dog embarrasses the f*ck out of his owner on live TV

G’day, ya wankers, how are ya? Hopefully you’re doing bloody grouse, and if you’re not, this video should cheer you right up. It’s a supposedly vegetarian dog making a really tough choice: bowl of meat or bowl of veggies. Watch it to see just how vegetarian this dog is.

Right, people, time to saddle up the high horse and ride it to the penthouse level of the ivory f**ken tower. If you’re a vegan, that’s your choice and f**ken good on ya. I mean, you’re kinda letting down everyone who’s doing their bit to cull the burgeoning cattle population, but the choice not to cram your gob full of tasty tasty murder is all yours.

But, and believe me, there’s a but…if want your pet to eat nothing but veggies, you should probably get one that can survive on a herbivorous diet. And by ‘probably’, we mean ‘definitely’. If you have a pet like a dog or a cat – or a f**ken bear if you’re Russian – feed the bloody thing meat. They don’t need to live by your food choices.

And by ‘your’ choices, we mean ‘your’ choices. In fairness, the lady in today’s video, Lucy Carrington, points out that she’s not a vegetarian and doesn’t plan on keeping the dog on a vegetarian diet, but the video – which saw many accuse her of animal cruelty – serves as a real message to those vegans and vegetarians who force their pets to maintain meat-free diets. A dog’s ‘choice’ might be completely different to yours.

There’s a vet on the show and he talks about the importance of feeding omnivorous animals like dogs a well-balanced diet, and providing them with choice. And that’s exactly what the show’s host Eamonn Holmes does. He arranges one bowl of meat and one bowl of veggies. Guess where the dog goes…

Final thought: Sorry to be a bit preachy in this one, but while this seems like common sense, every now and then you see a story where someone tries to force an animal to be vegetarian. In this instance, it doesn’t seem like there’s anything particularly extreme going on, but as a lesson to all, it’ll do. It’ll do.
