This video of an opossum family in some sheila’s bbq is prime Internet
Here in the land down under, we like to think of marsupials as being one of ‘our’ families of critters, but while we’ve got a pretty f**ken good claim with the likes of the wombat, the kangaroo, the koala and the Tasmanian devil, we’re not the only locale these pouched mammals frequent. Yeah, nah, you might not hear about it much, but the bloody Seppos have got a few of their own. And that’s exactly the reason this sheila was able to find a family of opossums in her barbecue.
Yeah, so opossums aren’t quite the same as our very own possums.
Yeah, nah, ours are of the Phalangeridae family while the yank ones are of the family Didelphimorphia.
Other than that, ours are pretty f**ken cute, while the American ones are, to be fair, a bit on the ugly side.

Anyway, getting back to the story, this sheila, who goes by the name Cat Cozzi, noticed an opossum had made a home out of a drawer in her grill. That’s a ‘barbecue’ if ya speak f**ken Ozzy.
Anyway, the sheila in question heads on out to the grill with her tongs in tow.

Is she gonna cook the b**tards like a dodgy hipster at the Darwin markets? Is she gonna give ‘em the big flick? Is she gonna f**ken jam ‘em right in their out pouch? Nah, she’s showing us the babies. Have a bloody squiz at these little bewdies.
They’re all tiny and cute. You’ve gotta love that.

Of course, all of this ignores the fact that at some stage, they’re gonna need the barbecue and the opossums own it now, but you have to take life’s blessings as they come. There’s nothing quite like a bit of wildlife in the backyard.

Final thought: We love having all creatures great and small in our yards here in Ozzyland, but we’re just as f**ken stoked when we see wildlife from elsewhere chilling out in someone else’s neck of the woods. Let us know how you’d react to finding these little buggers in your barbecue. Hit up the Facebook comments with your ideas.
