Ryan Reynolds’ bloody gold out-of-office email after $845m deal

You lot know we bloody love Ryan Reynolds here at Ozzy Man Reviews. In fairness, we’re not alone, the big bloody legend makes it pretty easy. Deadset, no matter what he’s doing, he just seems to be having a lot of fun, and that’s a pretty f**ken charming quality. And that brings us to the latest bit of Ryan Reynolds news. He’s sold his gin company – and that’s given him another excuse for shenanigans…

Yeah, nah, just in case you weren’t aware, the Deadpool star was the owner of Aviation Gin, a company he reckons he bought because it’s his favourite spirit. Obviously, the cheeky bugger has now sold the company. He’ll keep an ongoing ownership interest, but he’s pocketed a cool 845 million dollarydoos from the deal.

And that’s led to this legendary ‘out of office’ email response:

“Thanks for your email. I am currently out of the office but will still be very hard at work selling Aviation Gin. For quite a long time, it seems.”

“In related news, I just learned what an ‘earn out’ is … And I’d like to take this opportunity to apologise to everyone I told to go f**k themselves in the last 24 hours. My lawyers just explained how long it takes to achieve an ‘earn out’ … so … turns out I’m not as George Clooney as I thought. The point is, to those listed below, I’m sorry … and I’ll indeed be needing your help in the coming months and years. Thanks in advance!”

“Mum, Blake, Peter, Diageo CEO, The Rock, George Clooney, Southern Glazer’s, Betty White, TGI Friday’s, Baxter, Calisthenics, AMC Theatres, Total Wine, the number 8, Don Saladino, Darden, the head of Alfredo Garcia, soothing lavender eye pillows.”

He sold the company to Spirits giant Diageo, which owns brands like Johnnie Walker and Smirnoff.

Final thought: Yeah, see, just as we said before, the bloke seems to be having a constant bloody laugh, and that’s bloody grouse. Plenty of celebs take themselves pretty seriously, so to see someone like Reynolds living the dream and letting everyone know he’s having fun doing it is a pretty welcome bit of change. Don’t ya reckon?
