Russian artist illustrates what would happen if famous characters got old
Aside from a few notably excellent exceptions like Old Man Logan, Old Man Punisher and The Dark Knight Returns, we don’t often get to see what legendary cartoon and comic-book characters will look like once they’ve gotten bloody old. In a way, it’s kind of ironic. Some of these characters have been around for f**ken yonks!
As you can see from these images, Perm-based Russian artist Lesya Guseva, has given this concept some thought. Taking the time to illustrate a whole bunch of characters from Disney, DC and Marvel, Gueva has taken into account their personalities and their powers.
Superman, Pocahontas and Meeko look like they’re enjoying the sh*t out of this cruise. How good it would be if Rocket Racoon was there, though?
Batman finally taking a much-needed rest. Not sure about the Joker doll, but maybe he’s gone a bit funny in his old age. Would have to be pretty old considering he can still take down Supes at 55, though.
Spidey still getting sticky white mess everywhere. You’d have thought he’d grown out of that!
Mickey, Minnie look like they want to be put out of their misery.
Imagine the banter.
Tony Stark. Still a playboy. That makes sense.
Captain America always the hero. Snow White looks like she’s got something devious in mind. Maybe she’s wondering if he’s as good as seven dwarves!
They haven’t eaten that bloody lobster yet?
The Joker. This reminds me of Steve Buscemi in Billy Madison. Maybe he’s waiting for a phone-call from the Bats.
Supergirl and Wonder Woman feeding the birds.
Classic Wade.
Stop trying, love, you’re not gonna catch him.
Kid wants to make sure she doesn’t f**k up.
Are these stolen candles?
Final thought: We always love to see new spins on the classics, and while some of these could never match up to the proper versions we see in the comics mentioned earlier, they’re still pretty bloody good to look at. Top f**ken stuff, Lesya.
