Aussie Comedian invades Airforce meeting via Zoom, high ranking officer wasn’t impressed

As we’ve come to find out over the last few weeks, bloody humans are an innovative bunch when it comes to finding ways of entertaining themselves during a lockdown. Deadset, for those of us who’d normally be occupied with work and s**t outside of the house, the home can actually be a pretty boring place. To alleviate that boredom, people have come up with all sorts of things to pass the time. For Ozzy comedian Hamish Blake, invading Zoom meetings has become a new pastime…

Yeah, nah, Blake, who’s a fairly well-known entity in these parts thanks to his television and radio career, decided the time was ripe to start surprising various workplaces with random Zoom appearances, and his fans have only been too happy to help.

With plenty of people working from home, and Zoom’s technology ensuring everyone can still get their quota of pointless meetings that should really just be emails into their working week, he’s been pretty busy.

He’s jumped in on school meetings, corporate meetings, and an air force meeting where one supposedly ‘high-status’ sheila wasn’t too happy with his interruption. Don’t get us wrong, there’s plenty of laughter, but Blake, in his fetching-as-f**k ‘airforce jacket’, picks up on the tension pretty quickly.

“I won’t say who invited me ‘cos I’m just getting a slight vibe they could get in trouble,” he says to the sheila.

Her response? “I think we’ve already figured it out.”

Other surprise appearances went much better, and it’s easy to see how much the general public loves him, because there are plenty of happy faces and excellent reactions.

Final thought: Yeah, look, this is the kind of wholesome content you’ve gotta love. Bloody Blake’s a bit of an icon to some people, and he’s been kicking around on our television screens and stereos for years. With the tension in the world, it’s nice to see people having a laugh and enjoying a surprise visit from a top bloke. Good s**t, Hamish. Good s**t.
