Autistic man sues gym after being called ‘stupid’, acts as own lawyer and wins

We all know what it’s like to have some schmuck give you sh*t in front of people just so they can feel better about themselves. Most of the time it’s a sh**ty situation (a sh*tuation) and there’s not much you can do about it. It’s the kind of thing that might happen at work when some ‘more important’ f**kwit wants an ego boost, but it also happens in public. When it happened to Ketan Aggarwal, he wasn’t having it.

This is a f**ken tops story and Ketan has to be admired for his determination to a ‘fuck you’. Deadset, this bloke plays the f**ken long game – and he’s got the drive to see it through. That is commendable.

You see, when Aggarwal was participating in a spin class at a Virgin Active gym in Pommyland, he wanted some faster tunes. That’s something you’ll never get a bad mark for in our opinion. Being an obviously reasonable fella, he asked the gym instructor if he could play something with a bit more oomph.

The gym instructor, being a gym instructor, was a bit pissed that someone had questioned his music selection. He said, “Don’t tell me how to do my job!” He then called him stupid twice. In front of thirty people. Presumably he then threw a medicine ball at the poor bloke, told him to drop and pump out twenty and skulled a protein drink.

And this is about the point where Ketan said, “Yeah, nah, f**k you. I’m gonna go and teach myself law, take you to court and sue you for the inconvenience and humiliation.”

That’s exactly what he did. He spent two years studying law in the local library before he took the f**kers to caught for discrimination. He won too. The gym had to compensate him and issue an apology.

Speaking about it afterwards, Ketan said, “If I was that stupid I wouldn’t have been able to successfully pursue the claim against a solicitor of a billion-pound company. It was two years coming and it was hard work.” The judge awarded him $1700 dollars for his troubles.

F**ken good shit, Ketan. Stick it to the man.

Final thought: Make your own mind up about whether it’s a reasonable way to respond or not, but on an incredibly petty level, you have to respect the commitment to the bit. All that could have made his long ‘f**k you’ better was a comment about the gym instructor’s sh*t music.
