Candace Cameron Bure causes internet uproar with ‘inappropriate’ photo

Internet outrage is probably one of the most interesting phenomena of our time. Yeah, nah, it seems that no matter what happens the reactions of strangers on the internet can veer from cancel culture to straight up hate-speech. At times, it can affect real change in the world. Of course, it can also be pretty bloody annoying, and that’s because internet outrage isn’t always discerning in its targets, and that’s what’s got Fuller House star Candace Cameron Bure trolling the internet…

For a bit of context on this one, you’ve gotta go back in time a little bit to when Bure first posted a couple of happy snaps of her and her husband. In what some said was a ‘too rude’ photograph, Bure’s husband, Valeri Bure, was copping a sneaky squeeze of her boob.

Let’s be clear, though. It wasn’t like the shot was her in the nud. Yeah, nah, it was a regular photo with the bloke going the grope in a playful and consenting way.

Still, some people didn’t like it. And, giving in to the pressure, she deleted it. Later on, though, Candace decided those people could go and get nicked. Yeah, she reposted it, and this time she captioned it with the following:

“For all of the Christians that are questioning my post with my husband’s hand on my boob — my husband of 24 years — thinking it was inappropriate, it makes me laugh because it’s my husband. We have so much fun together.”

And we reckon that’s kinda fair. The issue here, really, is consent, and the fact that this isn’t even a sexualised photo. It’s a pretty bloody normal – if a little bit cheeky – husband and wife photo.

Final thought: We’ve had a bit of a think about this, and we reckon that if you’re married, or in a long-term relationship, you’ve probably got a photo just like this one in the photo album. If you do, let us know in the Facebook comments.
