Have a f*@#en squiz at these cakes that look like real life objects!

We’re pretty sure there’ll be more than a few of you out there in the comments section who are big cake fans. And deadset, whether you just like the band or you’ve got big love for the tasty stuff, we reckon that New Jersey’s expert cake baker, Luke Vincentini’s gonna put a smile on your face and leave you more than satisfied with his god-level decorating skills…

To put things into perspective, you might be thinking, ‘It’s cake! How realistic can these objects look?” And that would be valid, but you’d only say that if you were completely unaware of just how incredible some cakes can look.

Yeah, fair dinkum, there’s a reason old mate works for one of those bakeries you seen on the TLC channel. Yeah, nah, you don’t get that position when you’re just chucking a pre-mix in the oven, or slopping out a Woollies mudcake for your kid’s birthday.

So, here’s what Vincentini does: he uses frosting to decorate cakes that you really might mistake for cool stuff. Seriously, if that Doritos cake was at a party, we could see ourselves trying to open it.

What we reckon is most impressive, though, is just how much of this stuff isn’t other food. It’s stuff that you might not even expect to be cake. Have a go at the melting Dali clocks. Have a squiz at the Dr Who cake. Have a bit of a scout of the hunk of wood, and finally, have a gander at the duck ornament, ya big goose.

Of course, there’s heaps more cool cake stuff you can check out and get inspired by. And, in fairness, considering Vincentini is only in his early twenties, you’ve got plenty of time to catch up and knock the socks off your fam-bam next time you have a bit of a gathering.

Final thought: Look, we dunno about you, but we’d love to see Luke make something iconically Ozzy. Whether that’s Croc Dundee’s hat, a miniature model of the Sydney Harbour Bridge or a redback spider on the dunny, we reckon he’d do a bloody bonza job. Let us know what you’d like to see him make in the Facebook comments.
