This Coffee Shop Owner Has Found A Genius Way To Punish Rude Customers
To sound like an old man, if there’s one thing that’s really missing from today’s fast-paced world, it’s good manners. It just seems that it’s almost rare to hear someone use ‘please’ and ‘thank you’ these days.
Instead, we’re inundated with less polite phrases like, ‘get f***ed’, ‘eat a dick’ and ‘the best part of you dribbled down your mum’s leg.’
Thankfully, one coffee shop owner in Roanoke in North Carolina has decided he’s had enough of the rude pricks who come into his place of business and contribute to his livelihood every single day of the week.
Apparently, the complete dickcheeses don’t know their Ps and Qs, they don’t know how to order politely and they just demand their orders.
F**k them. As a result, the owner, Austin Simms, all-round perfect guy who never puts a foot wrong has decided that these uncouth tools can pay extra. Yep. He’s decided to price his wares according to people’s manners.
I, for one, love it. There is one way to improve the idea even further though: how about discounts apply when staff are rude too!
It would be amazing if when I’m polite – which is f***ing always – and the rude sheila at the window of my local drive-through coffee shop rolls her eyes, sighs and grunts when I ask for a serviette because she’s already spilled half of my coffee, I could get a discount. Seriously, that lady needs to be more like the happy gay dude with the glasses. Not only does he make the best coffee, he’s polite as f**k mate.
Anyway, Simms’ sign has gone viral and is now attracting attention from all over the globe. “I decided because I need to solve all of the injustices of the world to start charging more for people who didn’t take the time to say hello and connect and realize we’re all people behind the counter,” he said when quizzed about it.
Locals seem to have gotten behind it too. Nana Patti Gregory, who remembers the good old days, said, “I don’t get people. Kindness is awesome, loving, genuinely caring…that’s life to me. Without kindness, there is nothing. And as a bonus, it always always comes back to you.”
F***ing right on, Grandma!
