The last photos of legendary “Queen of the Elephants”

As far as animals go, you’ve got to admit that the elephant is a f**ken bewdy. Think about it: as big as a brick s**thouse? F**ken check. Ability to s**t-mix c**ts with their f**ken legendary trunks? Also f**ken check. Magical ears that help them fly? F**k yes. That’s a f**ken check too. Elephants really are rad. With all that majesty, though, it sometimes makes the passing of one of these legendary creatures a little sadder than it would usually be…

Bear that in mind when you have a look at these gorgeous photos. Taken by a pommy bloke named Will Burrard-Lucas, they feature the last images of a truly f**ken bewdiful specimen: F_MU1. This big bloody queen of the elephants was what’s known as a tusker.

Tuskers are kind of like a rare genetic mutation with the super-power of having massive f**ken tusks and great size. For obvious reasons, their f**k-off huge tusks make them a proper target for poachers. The flipside to that is that they get a little extra protection from Governments and regulatory bodies, but, you know. F**k poachers. C**ts.

Anyway, Burrard-Lucas was invited to Kenya by the Tsavo Trust and the Kenya Wildlife Service to take some happy snaps of their animals and showcase the beauty of the wildlife to the world at large.

Talking about F_MU1, Burrard-Lucas said:

“If there were a Queen of Elephants, it would surely have been her. She was skinny and old but she strode forward with stately grace. Her tusks were so long that they scraped the ground in front of her. She was like a relic from a bygone era. Her temperament was gentle and calm. Sometimes she would come so close to me that I could have touched her.”

Unfortunately, the big bugger passed away a couple of weeks after Burrard-Lucas left. It’s thought that the drought at the time played a big part in that. Pay the old love some respect and admire these awesome bloody photographs.

Final thought: These photos are pretty bloody good, let’s be honest. On top of that, how f**ken good are elephants? The fact a creature that big can fly has to make you grateful they’re not a predator. That would be f**ken scary.
