‘Sand Pools’ are the latest in backyard pool innovations

Yeah, nah, having a pool in the yard is pretty much the f**ken dream, right? Deadset, for us average Joes filling up the wheelie bin and jumping in for a dip, looking at the neighbours’ kick-ass pool is something that already fills us with envy. S**t, we’ve even watched those two little blokes who make pools out of nothing but mud and been jealous as f**k. If that matches your experience, wait till you see these bewdies…

Rightio, these pearler f**ken pools are known as ‘sand pools’ and they’re a different take on the old backyard pool, that sees the traditional hole in the ground giving way to a more natural approach.

Of course, the sand here isn’t all that natural, it’s a special concrete mix covered in compacted sand, and that’s probably a good thing. If you had real sand, it’d only be a matter of time before the local cats were dropping nards in it.

The company who makes them, Piscinas de Arena NaturSand, is based in Spain, so with Covid restrictions, it might be tough to get ‘em to hook you up, but once s**t’s settled, they might be able to manage.

They’ve already built these legendary pools in places as far and wide as the US, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Bolivia, Colombia, and Brazil.

We’re not sure exactly how deep they go, but we assume they can be as deep as a regular pool. What we do know, though, is they taper off from a natural incline that avoids the need for steps and ladders.

Honestly, though, we wouldn’t mind one here – it’d be a great way to escape the bloody sharks hanging out on the beaches.
