Seeing as most of the denizens who inhabit the little corner of the internet known as Ozzy Man Reviews are a bunch of intelligent, well-read and pop-culture savvy blokes and sheilas, we reckon we’re pretty safe in assuming that you know exactly just who the Uruk-Hai are. By extension, we reckon you know all about their swords. If, by some strange twist of fate, you don’t know, they’re the bigger, meaner and more powerful race of orcs in Tolkien’s seminal Lord of the Rings books (and, obviously, the films). Basically, all you need to know about this story is that Tumblr user zohbugg recently bought herself an Uruk-Hai sword. Don’t let us crap on about it, though. Let her do it.

She told visitors to her site, “I drove to Iowa to visit my friend. I found an Uruk-Hai scimitar in a local antique shop. I bought it. Without hesitation. I don’t know if I have enough for gas to drive home. Worth it.”

Of course, the obvious question anyone buying movie merch this cool is going to get is just what the bloody hell do ya think you’re going to do with that monumental waste of money?

As you can see from her pics, it comes in handy for loads of household purposes: grabbing a fresh bog roll, making the bed, getting something off the top shelf, making coffee, making toast and putting together the Christmas tree.

Final thought: Seriously, after having a look at this, we’re wondering why we haven’t bought one sooner. We’re gonna get on that ASAP and we reckon you should too.
