Bloke creates incredible 4k timelapse of 30 days at sea on cargo ship

For some people, the idea of being caught on a bloody boat for a long period of time might fill them with dread. For others, that sounds like bloody paradise. After having a squiz at this incredible timelapse of a sailor and maritime vlogger’s 30-day journey from the Red Sea to Hong Kong, we’re thinking that just the views alone might be worth it. Have a bloody gander and let us know what you think…

Righto, JeffHK, describes what he does in a pretty f**ken simple way, and we reckon there’s something pretty pure and heartfelt about that. Looking at his YouTube account, you can see he describes it like this: “I’m a seafarer working on mega ships with a passion in making videos! On this channel you will find timelapses at sea, life at sea (both film and vlogs), and anything maritime related!”

And it’s one of those timelapses that has us taking notice of his work. In a world where we’re all caught inside and might have forgotten exactly what it’s like to get out and explore the world, this bloke’s bringing us a hefty dose of the good s**t with this awesome video.

Using about 80,000 photos, he’s created a ten minute video of an epic journey that took his ship through heavy traffic, wild storms, and beautiful ocean. According to the man himself, the video takes us on a route from the Red Sea through the Gulf of Aden, the Indian Ocean, Colombo, the Malacca Strait, Singapore, and the South East China Sea before finally arriving in Hong Kong.

Give it a watch and lose yourself on the journey.

Final thought: Yeah, nah, we could watch s**t like this for hours. Deadset, how good would it be to have it on a big screen, just looping through? Anyway, once you’ve given the video a spin, let us know what you reckon, or whether you could spend thirty days at sea or not.
