Brutally honest cartoon series sums up life after having kids
Man, you can say whatever the f**k you like about the nature of the internet these days, but you’ve gotta give Bored Panda a whole bunch of credit for their stellar series of cartoons depicting ‘life after’ a whole range of life-changing events. Previously, they nailed their ‘how life changes after your twenties’ post, but this latest one will ring very true for those of you who know what life’s like after kids. Check them out below.
Let’s start with what is probably the single most frustrating thing about going anywhere with kids when you’re in a rush. You’re not in a rush. The kids are going to check out f**ken everything. Usually, it’s endearing. In a rush…not so much.
Yeah, having twins is an idea that certainly doesn’t appeal. Not. One. Iota.
5 minutes. That’s plenty of time. You could get two in there couldn’t ya?
Mate, what’s wrong with this. The dad bod is rad!
In fairness, this is one thing that does suck. Serving up other dishes while your own goes cold or burns. Still, you learn to make sure it doesn’t happen. Life’s all about adaptation, right?
True. With a little one, you’re not going anywhere in ten minutes.
Going out bags are the best!
Any kid who can paint a rocket coming out of a monster’s arse at two is a bloody legend!
Ah…now I know why Dad used to read on the sh**ter. Oh no, I do it too!
Ha! If you couldn’t blame the little buggers for making you late, it’d be a sad, sad world.
Final thought: Despite the inherent humour in these, it’s funny how quickly these things become the new norm and aren’t actually too much of a hassle. As you probably know yourself, kids will be kids, but it’s hard to find sympathy for someone who uses their kids as an excuse to be boring. Enjoy that sh*t while you can. The rewards are worth it!
