9 things worn the f@#k out by time and nature

If you’ve ever gotten to the end of a tough week at work and felt worn down, we reckon you’ll relate to the images in this story. F**k, we reckon you might even relate if you’ve had a tough day. That’s because this one’s all about objects that have found themselves worn down by time and nature. Give ‘em a squiz.

We’re gonna start with this one because we reckon it’s the perfect metaphor for those of us who work hard for a living. You start off feeling sharp, but by the time you’ve dug a metric f**kload of holes, you’re dull, blunt, and a fair bit shorter than you were as a spritely youth.

By the same token, this one’s all about how you feel at the start of the working week to where you are by Thursday. Don’t get us wrong, no weekend’s gonna fix that pumpkin, but you can definitely see that time has taken it’s toll.

And here’s what happens when you let people step on you for years and years and years. The stairs you see belong to a stairwell at the Great Wall of China, and if that doesn’t show you what it’s like, then nothing will. The tarmac pavement you can see from this London pathway is similar. It’s been stepped on so much, you can see the cobblestones beneath. Bugger!

Sometimes, you can even be worn out by having to deal with too much loving. Those plucky dogs have loved that frisby so hard, it’s barely even recognisable. If you’ve ever just needed your own personal space, you can probably relate. The lucky dollar, was in a Grandpa’s pocket for so long that the fine details of the coin were worn away. Both objects were loved, but nothing could stop the inevitable. Damn.

Lastly, each of these photos shows the effects of years in a salty place. We’re likening this to hanging out with toxic and whingey people. Yeah, nah, all that salt eats away at you, leaving you warped, ground down, and, in a few cases, completely f**ken disintegrated. The coins you can see were found at the beach. They were found next to the remains of a coin purse, and we can only assume they were lost when they were still in the bag.

Final thought: Yeah, we find s**t like this interesting as f**k. If you were to see this stuff every day, you wouldn’t even notice the changes, but when you consider how worn they actually are, it makes you consider what a hard week at work – or time with salty people – might be doing to you.
