Legend Dad builds homemade cubby-house after seeing how expensive they are

We’re pretty sure that by now, all the parents in the world know what it feels like to be well and truly in need of an outside activity for the kids. Deadset, when they’re cooped up inside, s**t can get pretty hectic. To solve that problem, this Pommy dad figured he’d get the tin lids a cubby house. Until he saw the cost. Still, he wasn’t going to give up that easy, not when he figured he could build one himself…

Rightio, ya big bloody bewdiful d-ckheads, meet Marc Ely from Essex. This bloke was bloody flabbergasted by the price of cubby houses online, and would sooner kick himself in the d-ck than pay more than two thousand pommy pounds for one.

Yeah, nah, knowing he was a bit of a dab hand when it came to construction, he used bits from his own scaffolding company – and a few deliveries of awesome accessories – and knocked up his own creation for just over $200 pounds.

He reckons that the kids had always wanted one, and he needed to get ‘em outside during lockdown. “I looked online and the ones with swings, stairs, and a slide were over £2000 and I knew I could do it myself. The only things I had to buy were the wood chippings, swings, slide, rock-climbing stones, and paint from Amazon, eBay, and B&Q.”

In order to save a bit more cash, and to teach the kids the value of creating something for yourself, he even gave ‘em a workplace health and safety induction and put ‘em to work.
