Wife Remixes Four Years Worth of Husband’s Snoring With Hit ‘Descapito’
We all know someone who snores like a freight train. Often head back, mouth open, rattling away, pissing off wives and neighbours and causing the house to vibrate like a battery powered 10-inch wobbler.
A video has emerged on Reddit this week of a particularly unique snoring montage. A proud wife has recorded her husband’s snoring for four years! And whilst this may have made for great viewing over coffee with her girlfriends, this edit has to take the cake for creative genius and cultural relevance.
Many people struggle with the Spanish lyrics in the hit tune Despacito. Struggle over! Why not just snore it in Spanish instead! With the help of some precise auto-tuning, Uncle Raul’s’ snoring is the latest in a series of YouTube releases that parody the hit of Winter (in oz)!
Even more impressive than the montage itself is the range of locations that this old dude gets to have a nap! The guy in the clip who sort of looks like a Latino Steve Harvey, snores away in many positions, in various states of undress. Many in the West are jealous of Spanish and Latin culture for their generous sleep/work balance as a result of the ‘siesta’. It would be great to have a nice little kip in the afternoon, after a big lunch with a couple of glasses of ale, but our society says no.
On a serious note, chronic snoring can be a sign of Obstructive Sleep Apnea. This occurs when the airway at the back of the throat becomes obstructed and creates a rattle. Besides being annoying for close-company and putting a strain on relationships, a dangerous side effect of this is that the airway can actually become so blocked that the person stops breathing. This can reduce blood oxygen levels.
