Ridiculousness Host Chanel ‘West Coast’ Loses Her Sh*t At Special Guest
Dramatic and somewhat trashy footage has emerged of two grown adults acting like children on TV. The clip below, taken from MTV’s show ‘Ridiculousness’ shows Chanel West Coast going head to head with Charlamagne tha God in a heated exchange of fighting words that get a bit out of hand, especially for an MTV show that doesn’t have the word ‘Shore’ in it. While we’re on the topic of MTV, who else misses Beavis and Butt-Head?!
A bit of background on the two getting a bit fiesty with eachother, Chanel West Coast (born Chelsea Chanel Dudley) is a co-host on the show which makes intellectual diagnostic analyses of online video clips. Yeah, nah it’s a panel show of people on a couch watching videos and cracking jokes that the audience applauds.
Charlamagne tha God, which again is a much cooler name than the one he was born with (Lenard McKelvey) is a controversial radio host currently serving on The Breakfast Club. A former prisoner, he makes a name for himself by asking direct questions with little consideration for the feelings of others. He doesn’t mince his words.
The video starts off with ‘tha God’ justifying his decision to tell the truth and voice opinions no matter the circumstances. He had previously said that Chanel was “wack rappin’”. Chanel starts off quite restrained saying that everyone is entitled to their opinion. So far so good.
Then all hell breaks loose when Charlamagne facetiously remarks “Good for the people who haven’t heard her rap”. Chanel takes the bait and immediately launched into a defensive tirade against ‘Tha God’.
She makes some decent points about being picked up by the ‘Purple Drank-necking’ Lil’ Wayne and is produced by Snoop Dogg. Charlamagne’s response is to be equally obnoxious which fires up Chanel up even more. She launches into a big f*ck off rant about her musical track record. Chanel is visibly distressed and stirred up by Charlamagne’s button-pushing. He has obviously successfully stirred the pot well and truly.
The peak of the video comes when Chanel is called out for name-dropping Lil’ Wayne.
“People always like to say Wayne found Nicki and Drake, but they always leave out Lil Twist and Tyga,” taunts Charlamagne.
It marks the first time the host Rob Dyrdek has had to call for the brakes to be pumped and for the couch occupiers to “reel it in”. The other panel member, Steelo Brim, wants no bar of the whole ordeal and keeps his distance from the shenanigans.
